WHO?
Michael Spring is the man behind LETTERCARVE. Inspired to cut letters after inheriting some beautiful old chisels and gouges, he has developed a range of products which utilise his expressive skills and craft.
WHAT?
Whether you are looking for a house name board or something for another part of your home or business, Lettercarve is the place to look for a genuinely handmade product.
Lettercarve is dedicated to providing hand-cut signs to enhance your property, workplace or locality. There is an expanding range of oak boards and platters for chopping or serving - each can be personalised to your specification.
Kitchen boards, incorporating hand-cut lettering, add style to the kitchen and make excellent personalised gifts for weddings, new homes, anniversaries and birthdays.
Cheese boards bearing your company's name can make good corporate gifts. Examples can be seen in the gallery.
A new range of charcuterie boards is in development - a novel way to serve cold meats.
Bar Boards for cutting fruit in cocktail making.
Recent commissions have included incised lettering to garden benches, a memorial pillar for a Peace Garden and a village notice board.
I recently made a commemorative plaque for our dear departed lurcher. Have a look in the gallery and let me know if you would like something similar to remember a pet of yours.
Following a request from my wife, I have started to make boxes for the storage of bulbs and of seed packets. These can be accompanied by a bundle of hand-cut and painted hardwood plant labels.
A recent project has been a Sam Browne board. This is a great way to store, clean and display your No2 service dress belt. Made out of re-cycled oak board, and using brass fittings, this is a 'must have' for any serving officer. It can include hand-cut lettering of the service or 'zap' number.
